GWR 47XX 2-8-0 No 4706 approaches West Ealing with a PW train loaded with rail panels on November 28, 1959.

Peter Kerslake says "A nice clear image of 4706 on what looks to be a cold but crisp November day in 1959 and those who are more familiar than myself with the area will know exactly what the buildings and yards on the right are.
4706 looks rather work weary in this photograph, but has an impressive load of track in tow and would be well suited for this task despite her advancing years in service.
This particular member of the "4700" class had been allocated at Exeter , Bristol St. Philip's Marsh, Plymouth's Laira, Southall and Old Oak Common Motive Power Depots during her forty one years in service and was finally disposed of at Swindon Works in February of 1964."
