Tracks just out of picture right are to Sheffield passing St. James' Station built primarily for horse racing traffic. Signal gantry and far bridge is Balby Junction, the bridge abutment being the site of a horrific accident when hit by a departing 'Up' passenger train some years ago but still in Tony Robert's memory.
