Ex-North Eastern Railway Worsdell 'R' (LNER 'D20') class 4-4-0 No. 62384. Built at Gateshead in June 1907 as NER No. 1184 and withdrawn in August 1955.

One of the haunts of Wilson Worsdell's excellent 'D20' class 4-4-0s was the triangle of routes from Leeds-Selby-Harrogate. This is Selby in August 1952 with 62384 with a 'local' all stations to Leeds. Selby is one of the few stations in Yorkshire that still has much the same appearance and ambience as it had nearly 70 years ago.
