With her crew proudly in view, nearly new LNER Gresley 'D49/3' No.327 'Nottinghamshire' makes a grand sight at York MPD in 1929. The Lenz poppet valve gear with oscillating cams is clearly to be seen. 327 was built at Darlington in July 1928 and was withdrawn in Jan. 1961 as BR No. 62723.
