Riddles 'WD' class 2-8-0 No. 90024. Built by NBL of Glasgow in Oct. 1943 as WD No. 77370 and withdrawn in February 1966.

This photograph. was taken on my only visit in April 1966 to the ex-MR shed at Canklow on the southern edge of Rotherham. If you never went there, you can still get a very good idea of Canklow's appeal by visiting the nearby preserved Barrow Hill MPD. The Morris Mini 'Van' and the adjacent Heinkel 'Cabine' (I think!) are just as iconic of the 60s as is the rest of the scene!
