Selby Station has undergone remarkably little change since this 1960s view looking towards York. A typically grimy 'WD' 2-8-0 No. 90032 clanks through with an up train of empties. Note the wonderfully clean platforms and the rear of the train passing below the control tower for Selby's swing bridge over the River Ouse. 90032 was built by NBL of Glasgow in Nov. 1943 as WD No. 77391 and was withdrawn in Feb. 1966.
