Ex-North British Railway Reid 'J88' class 0-6-0 Tank No. 9386. Built at Cowlairs in December 1904 as NBR No. 836 and withdrawn in June 1960 as BR No. 68320.

The old, smoke encrusted shed buildings of Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway origin seem most appropriate to be the backdrop at Edinburgh's St. Margaret's MPD for this superb August 1937 portrait of 9386.
