GWR Star class 4-6-0 No 4004 Morning Star heads an up stopping train between Teignmouth and Dawlish in c1926.

Peter Kerslake says "This early view shows the marked absence of any strengthening or protection work on the cliff face, the line at that time clearly open to the danger of any rock falls, not like today when a great deal of protective work has been put into place."
