NER 328 1900s Starbeck MPD

NER 328 1900s Starbeck MPD

North Eastern Railway Worsdell 'G' (LNER 'D23') class 4-4-0 No. 328. Built at Darlington in August 1904 and withdrawn in October 1931 as LNER No. 328.

Starbeck MPD was on the outskirts of Harrogate and by 1889 had been extended to a 375ft. long, dead end, straight shed but made a through shed by 1907. The shear legs are supporting No. 328 whilst its bogie receives attention or some other problem. Starbeck closed in 1959 in spite of having been extensively rebuilt by BR in 1956!
