30936 1962-08-25 where -is it Micheldever?

Robert Waterman adds the details: "This is the 12.00 Waterloo - Lymington Pier summer Saturday service, I believe somewhere between Worting Junction and Winchester. 5 car Bulleid sets (5 set H) were only allocated to the South Western Division.
The loco is on Nine Elms duty 26 and the train repoting number 434 was allocated to the above train.
You have a photo of 30936 at Surbiton on 1962-08-25 which I'd wager is the same train earlier in its journey and where this can clearly be seen. The 2 headcode discs on the smokebox are reversed and the two burn patches on the bottom of the smokebox door are identical in both photos as is the chalked 12-0. Also the train comprises 2 x 5 set H's the first of which is set 839 in both photos. Finally the loco front coupling is hanging on its hook identically in both photos - this would be spookey if not the same train on the same day! "

Alan Goodwin says "I believe the location is the first overbridge north of Micheldever Popham tunnels. The land on the left is now the Test Valley Golf Club."
