Ex-LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' class 4-6-0 No. 45624 'St. Helena' (pilot). Built at Crewe in October 1934 as LMS No. 5624 and withdrawn in November 1963. Unidentified Stanier 'Black 5' class 4-6-0 (train).
With steam to spare, this double-headed express makes a fine sight racing along the Conway Bay coast at Llanfairfechan, heading for Chester via Conway.
