LMS Stanier 'Princess Royal' class 4-6-2 No. 6208 'Princess Helena Victoria'. Built at Crewe in August 1935 and withdrawn in October 1962 as BR No. 46208.

Even a less than perfect negative is worth restoring when the subject is a brand spanking new 'Princess Royal'. In all the resplendent glory of LMS livery, 6208 glistens in Crewe paintshop yard immediatly prior before release to traffic.
