An interesting early postwar view of 6207 still in red livery but with high cabside number just discernible beneath the grime. It is probable that it remained in this condition into early BR days before receiving the lined black LNWR style in early 1949. Although alleged to have received LMS 1946 lined black no photographic evidence to support this has ever been published.
