This was the RCTS ‘Northern and Eastern Rail Tour of 10th August 1958. Class J19 No 64656 took the train from Liverpool St (10am) to Marks Tey and is seen here en-route at Bishops Stortford. At Marks Tey, No 65440 replaced the J19 from there to Cambridge; then No 80041 to Bedford; 75055 to Harpenden; 43245 Harpenden - Harpenden via Hemel Hempstead, and finally 75055 from Harpenden to St Pancras (8pm). A busy day.
