3264 1930s Borth

3264 1930s Borth

GWR ‘Duke’ Class 4-4-0 No 3264 ‘Trevithick’ at Borth heading towards Machynlleth, it is AWS fitted which might help set the date. No 3264 was later renumbered 9064 and finally withdrawn by BR from Gloucester shed in December 1949, still carrying its nameplates.
In the yard is a rare glimpse of a Hanwood Colliery PO wagon lettered 'Salop' - the colliery was near Cruckmeole Junction where the Minsterley branch left the Cambrian main line.
