8307 1930s Waddesdon Manor
In the early ‘30s, Class F7 No 8307 near Waddesdon Manor on the Quainton Rd - Verney Jct push pull train formed of a GCR twelve wheeler. In December 1924 this engine was transferred to GC for working the Aylesbury-Verney Jct branch. This service ceased on 4/7/36. After this, the engine stayed at Aylesbury, being then used on the Princes Risborough line until about 1941. (Loco built 1909; w/d 1943).
(This class of 12 were known as Crystal Palace tanks due to their large cabs; Three worked in Scotland where they became known as Tomato Houses!)
