1015 1956-09-03 Penzance
The end of the line for Laira shed's 1015, County of Gloucester as it runs into Penzance n the down "Cornish Riviera" , the 10.30.a.m. from Paddington which this engine will have taken over at Plymouth.
I have, purely by luck, got Saint Michael's Mount in the background, and the large boulders on the right are sea defences for the line at this point which is close to the waters in Mounts Bay.
The Running Foremen at Laira would often use a "County" on this working, the locomotive being quite likely to work back from Penzace to Plymouth the following day on the up "Riviera" or possibly a milk train.
