No.5953 Dunley Hall from Bristol St Philips Marsh on 18th February 1962, would be withdrawn in October 1962. Just above the smokebox of the ‘Hall’ can be seen the flip-down plate onto which loaded loco coal tubs were manually pushed and tipped. The self-propelled crane would be fitted with a grab bucket and usually used to clear ash and clinker, as opposed to coaling engines.
