It is nigh on impossible to believe that locomotives of such archaic countenance as this RENFE '030' class, were still to be seen in Europe in the 'swinging sixties'. Yet here is 1880-built (by Fives of Lille, France) No. 030-2577 with straw hatted workmen alongside seen at Genoa MPD in July 1961. This fine old lady was finally withdrawn circa 1965.
