A fine study taken at Mallow Station, Co. Cork in June 1954. The subject is a powerful-looking ex-Great Southern & Western Rly. J.R.Bazin 'B1' class 4-6-0 No. 500. The locomotive was built at Inchicore in 1924, absorbed into CIE stock in 1945 and withdrawn by 1957.
