GWR 2251 class 0-6-0 No 2255 at Swindon Town with the 4pm Swindon Junction to Andover train on a very wet May 17, 1931.

Peter Kerslake says " Swindon boasted two stations for many years and here at the Old Town station on a wet day in 1931 and just a year old 2255 heads the 4 p.m. to Andover on the former Midland and South Western Junction line across the Cotswolds. Later years would take 2255 to the Cambrian system where it served until 1962, housed at Machynlleth in company with a number of its class.
The two young lads could well be on their way home from school!"
