9004 1958-09 Portmadoc

GWR Dukedog 4-4-0 No 9004 at Portmadoc with an up slow in September 1958.
Peter Kerslake says "The Cambrian at its best. 9004 had been constructed as 3204 at Swindon in August 1936 using the frames from withdrawn "Bulldog" 3439 and the boiler, cab and fittings from "Duke" 3271 and had Earl of Dartmouth nameplates until late 1937. The signal box just visible on the left also controlled the Tremadoc Road level crossing behind the cameraman and the open lattice footbridge is visible in the background.
