9015 1956-09-08 Barmouth

GWR Dukedog 4-4-0 No 9015 leaving the rock tunnel as it approaches Barmouth with a train from Machynlleth on September 8, 1956.
Peter Kerslake says "The short, shallow tunnel was below the coastal road into Barmouth and passengers will now be able to see Barmouth harbour on their left as they cross Old Chapel Viaduct into the station.
9015 was the first of the class not to carry one of the "Earl" names, the designated Earl of Clancarty name being allocated to Castle 5058 instead in October 1937."
