9004 1960-06-04 Wellington (Salop)

Stored after withdrawal.
Peter Kerslake says "9004, initially 3204, was constructed at Swindon in August 1936 using the frames of "Bulldog" 3439 married to the boiler, cab and fittings from "Duke" 3271 and was for a short time named Earl of Dartmouth. 9004 survived until withdrawal in June 1960 from Croes Newydd, one of the last three in service. This view shows the water top feed on the boiler but not all the class had this type of boiler."
