On Sunday April 26th 1959, No 60085 ‘Manna’ brings an Edinburgh-Kings Cross train along the freight only lines past Redmarshall East. This section of track was part of the very early Clarence Railway (1833-53). The diverted train had left the east coast main line at Ferryhill and would rejoin it at Northallerton.
