Having brought a special train (unaided), all the way from Aberdeen, No 3440 ‘City of Truro’ leaves the Glasgow Central terminus en-route to Polmadie shed for servicing, 9th September 1959. The special had been run in conjunction with the Scottish Industries Exhibition (3-19/9/59). ‘City of Truro’ took the return trip back to Aberdeen later in the day.
