On 7th September 1959, a special train was run from Largs to Kelvin Hall and return, in association with the Scottish Industries Exhibition (3rd-19th September). The two engines used (Nos 49 & 103) are seen here at Corkerhill shed having arrived in Glasgow from the Ayrshire coast. The return trip to Largs left Kelvin Hall after dark at 8.37pm, arriving 10.56pm.
