The SLS/RCTS Joint Scottish Tour of 1960 ran over the six days 12th to 17th June. On 13th June, the Tour of the Day started at Aberdeen’s Waterloo Goods station and went to Macduff via Inverurie and Turriff. No 49 ‘Gordon Highlander’ was used throughout and the train is here ascending the steep incline on the approach to Macduff. The special returned to Aberdeen via Kinore and Alford.
