Southern Railway designed Bulleid 'Battle of Britain' class 4-6-2 No. 34074 '46 Squadron', Built at Brighton in May 1948 and withdrawn in June 1963. Photographed from above Martello Tunnel, grubby 34074 is drifting in a smoky haze towards Folkestone from Dover in August 1955. The purpose of the siding and adjacent structures are unknown.
