Bearing a " Not to be moved " plate little 1364 from Plymouth's Laira Depot is amongst what appears to be a lot of discarded locomotive parts here at Newton Abbot most probably for attention within the Works , that facility being capable of handling most forms of motive power at that period in time , and I even recall no less than Laira's 4086 "Builth Castle " being within the Works once when I called in ! .
Laira Depot had three of these little Saddle Tanks and they spent most of their time within the Millbay Docks complex handling freight wagons on a daily basis , their short wheelbase making them well suited to the narrow confines of Millbay Docks and its sharply curving trackwork , whilst 1362 was shedded here at Newton Abbot and then at Taunton , whilst 1365 was at Swindon Motive Power Depot .
Note the toolbox on the running plate and the vacuum pump both evident in this view
