On an Exe Valley train. 1421 enjoyed a varied life in her thirty years of service, ending her days in December of 1963 on the Tiverton Junction to Hemyock branch as seen here whilst allocated to her final home at Exeter.
Earlier years had taken 1421 to Plymouth's Laira Depot and to Reading and Slough, but most of her former life had been spent in Wales where she had been allocated to Llantrisant, Ebbw Vale and Goodwick, working branch line services through the Welsh valleys.
