Showing well the nameplate complete with its replica half football and club colours 61652 Darlington has just come off its home shed and is running light engine through Cambridge station. It is about to approach the "scissors" pointwork which was situated mid-way along the main platform and which permitted workings running in both directions to use that same platform.
Darlington is about to couple on to its train which is waiting at the far end of the main platform, bound for Kings Cross, possibly one of the 'Cambridge Buffet Express' duties upon which this class were regularly rostered.
