This is an interesting panoramic view looking Southwards and " down the line " at Bromsgrove with one of the eventual seven of the Western Panniers setting off to assist a working up the Lickey to Blackwell.
What is of particular interest is the shed facility and banking engines ' sidings visible in the background with steam from waiting engines apparent , from where the Lickey bankers would be recoaled and watered in readiness for their next call to duty .
Note the pointwork and tracks leading to and from the shed facilities at this point.
‘94xx’ No.8405 has buffered up and is starting off on its two mile climb up to Blackwell. It arrived at Bromsgrove in December 1956 and was withdrawn from there in September 1964.
