Ex-London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Stroudley ‘D1’ class 0-4-2 Tank No. 2232 formally named ‘Lewes’ at Beattock Station, Dumfriesshire, circa 1943. Built at Brighton in July 1884 as LB&SCR No. 232. Withdrawn in June 1944. One of six loaned to the LMS during WW2.
