SR class E1R 0-6-2T No 32124 pilots N 2-6-0 No 31845 for the climb to Exeter Central leaving St.Davids with an up goods for the LSWR route on August 9, 1953. The E1Rs were the mainstay of the piloting and banking duties up to Exeter Central from St. Davids for many years.
