Laid up in the snow

My research tells me that 69999 was converted from coal to oil burning in 1955 so I wonder whether this view at Gorton was whilst the massive engine was awaiting such conversion ?
Made redundant in 1949 from banking duties on the severe Worsborough Incline , between Wath and the Woodhead Tunnel on the Trans Pennine line between Sheffield and Manchester , 69999 was sent in March of 1950 to Bromsgrove in order to perform similar banking duties on the Lickey Incline , but she proved unpopular with the footplate crews due in part to her heavy coal consumption and poor visibility from the cabside windows , especially when " buffering up " to her train at the foot of the bank at Bromsgrove, and she lasted there just until November of that same year .
69999 did return to Bromsgrove , however , in 1955 , now converted to burn oil , but her second spell as the Lickey banker was shortlived as her popularity amongst the crews had not improved !
