The style of housing suggests this is taken near South Kenton

Peter Kerslake says "70043 and 70044 were the final two Britannias built in the 1952 construction programme and both were fitted with Westinghouse air pumps attached to the sides of the smokebox. They were used on tests of fitted heavily loaded coal trains between Toton and Brent. The air pumps were removed and the engines were named in 1957 so this view would be between May 1953 and 1957."
