GCR D11/1 4-4-0 No 62670 Marne pulls on to the Wicker Arch at Sheffield Victoria as one of Sheffield's modern Roberts trams loads up in the street below on a service to Sheffield Lane Top in c1958.

Peter Kerslake says "Riiding high above the streets of Sheffield, 62670 "Marne" was the last of Mr. Robinson's eleven" Improved Directors", constructed during his time as Chief Mechanical Engineer on the Great Central, and which were constructed between December of 1919 and December of 1922 when Marne"entered service.
"Marne" was housed here at Sheffield's Darnall depot at this time, having moved there from Immingham via Lincoln where she was the sole member of her class at that depot in 1956."
