1369 4687 6670 9613 1962-02-18 Stourbridge

Another view of No.1369 taken from the front end on 18th February 1962, in the Stourbridge Junction roundhouse alongside local ‘57xx’ Nos.4687 and 9613, and ‘56xx’ 0-6-2T No.6670 from Worcester. The Great Western planned to build the shed in 1914 but it was delayed by the First World War and was not opened until 1926, the last GWR roundhouse to be built. It had a 65 foot turntable with the standard 28 engine bays. Coded STB by the GWR it became 84F and then 2C in September 1963. It closed in July 1966 and was demolished in 1969.
