SR designed 1Co-Co1 No 10203 on arrival at Euston with an express from Wolverhampton on May 5, 1956.
Peter Kerslake says "The third of the Southern Region's main line diesels 10203 iwas transferred to the London Midland Region at Camden in July of the previous year joining 10201 and 10202 working on the West Coast main line. Train heating problems restricted all three to freight duties in the winter months and long periods were spent in store mainly at Derby between late 1956 and 1959 before reduced use and increasing maintenance needs saw all three withdrawn in February 1968."
