GWR diesel railcar No W27W at Southall shed on March 31, 1957.
Peter Kerslake says "This picture shows the "razor edge" wedge-shaped front end which distinguished the Swindon built railcars from those earlier versions with bodywork by Park Royal and the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company, all of which had the more attractive rounded ends. Southall had five of the railcars at the date of this view with five more being based nearby at Reading,."
