W16W at Faringdon on a special working for the Southall Railway Club, 24th April 1955.

Peter Kerslake says "Railcar number 16 fits well into this rural setting here at Faringdon whilst working a special duty in April of 1955, the railcar being one of five based at Reading depot at this period in time.
One of the 1936 built series of railcars this unit had bodywork by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company from their Bristol Road works at Gloucester.
At this date there were 35 such railcars still operational, the most being based at Worcester which had six on its allocation."
