Waiting on the centre road between duties.
Peter Kerslake says "Railcar number 32 is at Oxford in this view and my 1956 shed book has her allocated to Worcester two years later, one of six at that depot in 1956, the most of the remaining railcars to be found at one location.
This example was one of the third and final series, with bodywork from Swindon's own works, unlike the earler two batches which had bodywork by Park Royal Coachbuilders and the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company.
The Swindon bodied varients, built to Mr. Collett's design were far more austere in appearance than the earlier varients with their "Razor Edge" wedge shaped ends contrasting with the handsome streamlned and rounded designs of their predecessors, especially the first Park Royal versions."
