W16 1950s Kennington Junction
The trackwork, rail fasteners and sleepers together with background would suggest it is Kennington Junction.
Peter Kerslake says "The twelve railcars built by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company during 1936 at their Bristol Road works in Gloucester were numbered from 5 to this one seen here, the last of that series of sixteen.
In many ways the Gloucester varients were similar in design to the initial four railcars which were bodied b the coach builders Park Royal whilst the final batch of twenty one which were bodied by Swindon featured a more angular wedge shaped and less attractive design.
This example was one of five railcars at Reading in 1956, with an additional five being at nearby Southall with a total of thirty five units being dispersed over no fewer than thirteen Depots at that time and the class remained in service until late 1962."
