Peter Kerslake says "Seen here on her home shed at Reading in February of 1953 railcar number 16 looks rather work weary and unloved, this example being one of five allocated to Reading during the mid 'fifties.
Her bodywork came from the Bristol Road factory of the Gloucester Railway and Carriage Company and she was the last of the batch of twelve built there during 1935 and 1936 with power units by the A.E.C. Company of Southall."
