61035 1965-11-05 York MPD

Obviously not just fresh out of Doncaster Plant, the paint job that has been achieved on ex-LNER Thompson B1 No. 61035 'Pronghorn' is quite breathtaking! When passengers were conveyed in carriages looking like the one on the left, it can only be left to the imagination what the PR value of poor old 'Pronghorn' was! The poor beastie is seen in November 1965 at York North MPD.61035 was built at Darlington in Oct. 1947 as LNER No. 1035 and was withdrawn in December 1966.
