B12/3 4-6-0 No 8577 leaves Ipswich tunnel with an up slow for Liverpool Street in 1937.

Peter Kerslake says "Great Eastern elegance here as 8577, rebuilt under Edward Thompson as were most of the class, heads away from Ipswich with the station at the other end of the tunnel.Most of the class taken into L.N.E.R. stock in 1923 were rebuilt between 1930 and 1944 ".
