At Teignmouth, Devon, on Friday, 13th August 1965, BR 'Class 43 Warship' B-B diesel hydraulics Nos. D861 Vigilant (pilot) and D840 Resistance (train), were working an up fitted freight. D861 was built by NBL of Glasgow in February 1962 and was withdrawn in October 1971; D840 was built by NBL of Glasgow in February 1961 and was withdrawn in April 1969.
