In October 1978 BR 'Class 08' 08339 trundles through York Station with a Dringhouses Yard to Rowntrees Factory freight. This jouney took the Scarborough route from the north of the station and shortly therafter branched off onto the Foss Islands branch where Rowntrees were situated.
