A splendid late 1970s panorama of York North Yard. Class 40 No. 40125 is heading a tanker train past the now nearly defunct yard that interestingly retains a semaphore signal! 40125 was built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry in Dec. 1960 as BR No. D325 and was withdrawn in May 1981.
